Impression : Intrauterine pregnancy with a fundal poorly defined gest. sac of No e/o fetal pole / cardiac pulsations seen. Follow up scan suggested after 2 weeks for viability.
Request you to please explain me the report?? Is the pregnancy confirmed?? This is my 1st scan and im a bit worried..
The report shows a pregnancy in its earliest stages in the uterus. The fetal pole is the part which will grow and form the baby and it is still not formed. The heart of the baby is also not formed. The diameter of the pregnancy sac is 6 mm and it is too small to show any parts of the baby.
The mouth of uterus measures 3.4 cms and is normal. Both ovaries are also normal.
By your dates the age of your pregnancy is 5 weeks 5 days and it is too early to visualize the baby. This is normally seen in many women.
It is recommended that you repeat the ultrasound scan after 2 weeks and then the baby heart beat might be seen. Please do not worry.
