What Does this ultrasound Test Result Mean?

I had done an Ultrasound Scan for early pregnancy (TAS)
The results are as given below:
Gravid Uterus with single fundal poorly defined gestational sac.
Decidual reaction is good
Decidual contour is regular
No perisac bleed seen

Mean gest. sac diameter (MSD) is 6mm = Fetal pole not seen
Heart beats not seen

Int.os closed. Cx- 3.4 cms
Uterine wall normal
Ovaries: RO 36X24mm, LO 31X20 mm - Normal

LMP: 23-06-15 EDC by LMP: 30-03-16 GA by LMP: 5 WKS 5 DAY
EDC by Scan: ----------- GA by Scan:

Impression :
Intrauterine pregnancy with a fundal poorly defined gest. sac of
No e/o fetal pole / cardiac pulsations seen.
Follow up scan suggested after 2 weeks for viability.

Request you to please explain me the report??
Is the pregnancy confirmed??
This is my 1st scan and im a bit worried..

Thanks for writing in.

The report shows a pregnancy in its earliest stages in the uterus. The fetal pole is the part which will grow and form the baby and it is still not formed. The heart of the baby is also not formed. The diameter of the pregnancy sac is 6 mm and it is too small to show any parts of the baby.

The mouth of uterus measures 3.4 cms and is normal. Both ovaries are also normal.

By your dates the age of your pregnancy is 5 weeks 5 days and it is too early to visualize the baby. This is normally seen in many women.

It is recommended that you repeat the ultrasound scan after 2 weeks and then the baby heart beat might be seen. Please do not worry.
